Our fantastic South Park Choir sang a selection of wonderful Christmas songs and carols at the official turning on of the Christmas lights at Seven Kings station on Friday evening. The event was attended by the Mayor and local dignitaries as well as a very appreciative crowd of parents and music lovers. Well done to all those who practised so hard and sang their hearts out to cheer everyone on a cold winter evening. You can see our choir performing on this video.
A few weeks ago Mary Ogden visited our Year 5 children to share her experiences of being a child during World War II. Mary went to South Park Primary as a 5 year old child in 1935. She talked about what it was like to live in Seven Kings when the bombs were falling during the blitz, and when many of her friends were evacuated to relative safety in the countryside. You can watch the amazing talk she gave to our children here
On Friday, we finally moved in to our beautiful new Year 6 building. It has been a long wait, but our children and staff can’t wait to settle in.
